☕ We Had No Idea He Was a Westsider!

Good morning, Buzz Nation. This weekend is promising to be one of those fleeting Cleveland gems—blue skies, crisp air, and the first taste of fall.

Enjoy it now, because in three months we’ll all be shoveling driveways wondering why we put up with Lake Erie winters.

Today we’re buzzing on:

  • 🌕 The Worm Moon won the Life on Lake Erie photo contest

  • 🍝 Ciao, Stino’s

  • 🧠 One of our favorite trivia questions yet

Enjoy the sunshine, soak it in, and we’ll see you out there.

COMMUNITY BLEND

Office Worker Breaks Into Business Through Window 📍 Westlake

Courtesy Fox8 News

A deer was frantically late for work at a Clemens Road office building, but instead of doing its makeup in the rearview mirror on I-480, it crashed through a window, frightening neighboring tenants.

Westlake’s finest tried to usher him out, but the panicked buck ran right back inside through another window (most likely because they forgot to put cover sheets on their TPS reports).

Eventually, after tiring himself out, he bolted for the woods, presumably to ice his cuts and rethink his career in office work.

Winners Announced for Annual ‘Life on Lake Erie’ Photo Contest

1st Place Judges’ Favorite – “Worm Moon Over West Pierhead Light” by Daryl Mummey

The Ohio Lake Erie Commission’s 33rd Annual Life on Lake Erie Photo Contest invites Ohioans to capture the beauty, wildlife, and communities connected to the lake for a chance to win Ohio-based prizes.

Winners will receive experiences such as lodge stays, ferry trips, museum memberships, parasailing, Cedar Point passes, and Ohio-made products.

RESTAURANT CLOSING

Stino da Napoli Bids Farewell After 34 Years 📍 Rocky River

Courtesy Stino’s Facebook

After more than three decades in Rocky River, Stino da Napoli—known simply as “Stino’s” to many—will serve its final dinner on Saturday, December 20th.

Owner and chef Agostino Iacullo came to Cleveland in 1979 with $300 and a dream of bringing authentic Neapolitan cuisine to the city. Together with his wife Jill, a nurse at the Cleveland Clinic, the couple opened a small carry-out spot in 1991. Over the years, it grew into a full restaurant with seating for 100, countless accolades, and a reputation as one of Cleveland’s very best Italian kitchens.

From Silver Spoon Awards to visits from athletes, actors, and coaches, Stino’s has been more than a restaurant—it’s been a community treasure. Its closing marks the end of an era, but its legacy will live on in the many memories created around its tables.

REAL ESTATE OPPORTUNITY WITH BHHS Professional Realty | collaborative HOME SALES Group

Clifton & West Blvd Prime Lots For Sale 📍 Edgewater

1262 West Boulevard

THIS could be THE PLACE.

In Cleveland’s coveted Edgewater neighborhood, prime opportunities like this don’t come along often — and 130x130 feet of buildable land just a block from the lake is a rare find.

With property tax abatements available, the savings can be substantial, making this an attractive lot for building a home.

Positioned at the gateway between downtown and the West Side, this .38-acre parcel offers unmatched flexibility.

From a pool, garden, or expansive yard to an oversized garage or ADU, the lot’s generous size creates possibilities most standard parcels can’t match. And with Edgewater Park & Beach just steps away, lifestyle and location align perfectly.

🧠 TRIVIA

On September 8th, we celebrated the birthday of Lakewood native Ben Orr—born Benjamin Orzechowski—who went from Parma dropout to rock legend.

Orr’s early music career began with a local band called The Grasshoppers, performing on Cleveland’s own TV showcase Upbeat. But it wasn’t until the late ’70s and ’80s that he skyrocketed to fame as the smooth voice and bassist behind multiple Top 10 hits.

He was posthumously honored when his band was inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 2018.

Orr and the Grasshoppers were Upbeat’s house band

Ben Orr was the bassist and co-lead vocalist for which legendary band that racked up four Top 10 hits and helped define the sound of a generation?
