THE WESTSIDE BUZZ WEDNESDAY NIGHT DATE NIGHT FOR AROUND $50™

When everything seems to be getting more expensive, we decided to prove you can go out and have some fun without breaking the bank. So, The Westside Buzz went out on Wednesday date night to try two spots we have heard a lot about but have never been. As a bonus, we had a blast on a budget!

First up: City Slice on Lorain and W. 120th, where the pizza slices are so massive they could probably play center for the Cavs! Walking in, you instantly know this is a no-frills pizza paradise.

Jodie got the margherita, and I got the pepperoni, which was the move. The pizza came out piping hot, the undercarriage was crispy, and the toppings were fresh and super tasty. You won’t be leaving City Slice hungry.

Bonus points: They have a separate room full of arcade games where I got sucked into a Guardians of the Galaxy pinball game. It was time to go to our next stop, but I got the Groot multi-ball prize, and everyone knows that you don’t leave a pinball machine when you have a ball left!

Our next stop was Bad Medicine Cocktail & Vinyl Bar, just two minutes down Lorain Avenue. This place is a super cool cocktail bar where the menu slides out of a vinyl record holder, and the drinks are shaken and stirred to absolute perfection.

I ordered the Fists of Fury, a Tequila Blanco drink with grapefruit, melletti, and lime. Served in a coupe glass, it was balanced and fresh. Perfect for an early Spring night. Jodie had a classic Penicillin and said it was zesty and delicious.

We can’t wait to go back to Bad Medicine. It’s a place that would be perfect for after-dinner cocktails or a cozy date night.

Overall, we had a blast on our first official TWBWNDNFA$50. If Buzz Nation has any suggestions for our next journey, we would love to hear them!

BUSINESS

🍸 Bar Louie in Crocker Park abruptly closes | Westlake

Bar Louie has unexpectedly shut down its Legacy Village and Crocker Park locations, leaving customers and staff stunned with a blunt "We regret to inform you this location is permanently closed" sign. The Texas-based chain, which has been quietly closing stores across multiple states, seems to be strategically consolidating operations.

Given how desirable this real estate is, I'd bet good money that a fresh, exciting concept will pop up there soon, filling the space where Bar Louie used to be. Full Story 👉 Here
