Avon is repainting their water tower | The Cavs simply cannot lose
Good morning and happy Tuesday, Buzz Nation. Myles Garrett and I have a lot in common. We both can’t stop checking our phones this week. He is refreshing his banking app to see if his new $123 million contract hit, while I can’t get enough of seeing 70 and sunny in March! No joke I checked 5 different weather apps to make sure it wasn’t an early April fool’s prank.
Catch Jodie and me in the Metroparks soaking it up. What are you going to do outside?
Today we’re buzzing on:
👾 New Lakewood arcade bar
🎭 & Juliet arrives at Playhouse Square
🍷 Unofficial Westside Buzz Meetup this Friday

NEW BUSINESS
👾 New arcade bar opening in Deagan’s old space | Lakewood

Remember 16-Bit in Lakewood? There were many nights where you would find me and my buddy Eric huddled around vintage arcade games trying to beat each other’s records. We were devastated when they announced they were moving to West 25th to be a part of the new Pins Mechanical.
Enter Dan Deagan.
Dan has been a busy man in the last 12 months. His Wine Dive has become the place to be and be seen in Lakewood, and Wolf & Co. opened up to much fanfare in Bay Village. Now he sets his sights on a ‘new’ but proven concept in the space where Deagans was.
Think 16-Bit, but bigger with the service and atmosphere we’ve come to know from other Deagen’s projects. Look for the new bar to open late April of this year. You bet your butt I’ll be there for opening night!
THEATRE TALK
New Playhouse Square show is a must-see | Theatre District
The newest show in town "& Juliet" at Playhouse Square (running through March 23) reimagines what happens after Romeo's death with all your favorite 2000s pop hits! Our very own Strongsville native Corey Mach stars as Shakespeare alongside a talented cast including two Baldwin Wallace alums.
The show is basically what happens when you mix Shakespeare with Britney Spears, Backstreet Boys, and Katy Perry, creating this perfect cocktail of nostalgia and humor. Between the stunning aerial performances, clever fourth-wall breaks, and Mach's hilarious performance, “& Juliet” will have you dancing in your seat while cheering on our hometown talent.
How often do you see shows at Playhouse Square? What are some of your favorite shows you have seen? |

🏆 Which Westside lady wrestlers made the podium? | Westside
A couple of Westside ladies did some damage down at the OHSAA state girls wrestling tournament. Berea-Midpark junior Deionna Borders took home the championship and capped off an undefeated season. See which other Westsiders made the podium.
🦖 Myles Garrett Re-signs | Berea
It came out recently that Myles Garrett wasn’t happy with the direction of the franchise and wanted to get traded to a contender. As a Browns die-hard and a season ticket holder, I don’t blame him! But money talks…
He inked an extension this past weekend that should have him going from Cleveland to Canton after all. Will this lead to more Ws for the Browns this upcoming season? That remains to be seen. Full Details 👉 HERE
🥱 (Yawn) Cavs continue to roll
Water is wet, dill pickles are delicious, and the Cavs continue to steamroll the rest of the NBA. These are three irrefutable truths that are absolutely not up for debate.
The wine and gold were down 9 points to a miserable Hornets team in Charlotte on Friday and roared back to escape with a 1-point victory. Sunday night we confidently handled The Bucks, one of the best teams in the league, in their own arena for our 14th straight win.
The difference from years past is their confidence down the stretch of games, and the proof is in the way that they continue to close out games.
Schedule this week:
Tonight, vs. Brooklyn | 7 PM
Friday, @ Memphis | 8 PM
