I almost don’t want to write this review. Jodie is convinced that each time I write a glowing review in Google or The Buzz about a spot we love, it suddenly becomes too busy for us to enjoy.

Alas, here at the Westside Buzz, we have taken a vow. A vow to share our unbiased recommendations and findings with Buzz Nation! Today we share with you your next happy hour obsession…Artis in Lakewood.

Let’s see why this place is going to be your next happy hour hangout:

1. The food is out of this world. Chef Andrew Mansour has the menu filled with delightful fusions like Kimchee Fried Rice, Steak Fries Mansour, and my personal favorite, the Lamb Hummus Wrap. The Lamb Hummus Wrap was the star for me. Like the time I read The DaVinci Code, I just couldn’t put it down.

2. All drinks and food are priced at $8 at the bar until 6. For $8 you can take your pick of a hand-crafted cocktail like Blueberry Mint Lemonade, Pineapple Daiquiri, Margarita, Old Fashioned, or French 75.

3. The decor is vibrant and inviting. The bright yellow exterior of the joint gives you a feel for what the inside is like. You feel like you are in a Cuban Cafe in the 90s with a warm breeze gently moving through your hair.

4. The staff is welcoming and professional. You will think you are in an episode of The Bear as the staff communicates with one another. Shouts of “Heard!”, “Corner!” and “Hands!” echo behind the bar. All without the family tension and drama felt in The Bear (Seasons 1 & 2 are must-watches…nothing happened in season 3!)
